The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the people and leadership of Kabba/Bunu Local Government to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that Kogi West is firmly positioned to deliver overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and all APC candidates in future elections.
The Chairman made the declaration while reviewing the developmental strides recorded under the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the visible dividends of good governance across Kogi West and the state at large have strengthened the confidence of the people in the APC-led administration.
According to him, the administration of Governor Ododo has demonstrated purposeful leadership through sustained investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, security, youth empowerment, and rural development. He noted that communities across Kogi West have continued to benefit from government interventions aimed at improving livelihoods, expanding economic opportunities, and enhancing the welfare of citizens.
The Chairman also commended the Governor’s commitment to strengthening security architecture across Kogi State through support for security agencies and community-based security initiatives. He stated that the improved collaboration among security stakeholders has reinforced public confidence and contributed to efforts to safeguard lives and property.
Speaking on developments within Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael highlighted several interventions undertaken by his administration in alignment with the New Direction Agenda of Governor Ododo. These include the construction and rehabilitation of public infrastructure, improvements in primary healthcare delivery, community development projects, support for local security initiatives, youth and women empowerment programmes, educational interventions, and other people-oriented policies designed to improve the quality of life across the local government.
He noted that these achievements have been made possible through the support and partnership of the Kogi State Government under Governor Ododo’s leadership and the enabling environment created by the Federal Government.
The Chairman further applauded the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for implementing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy, expanding infrastructure development, improving national security, supporting agriculture, strengthening local government administration, and promoting long-term economic growth.
He acknowledged that while some reforms require patience and collective sacrifice, they are intended to build a stronger, more resilient economy capable of delivering sustainable prosperity for Nigerians.
“The APC remains the party with the vision, experience, and capacity to move Nigeria and Kogi State forward. Our achievements at the federal, state, and local government levels provide a solid foundation upon which greater progress can be built,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael emphasized that the Chairmen of the local governments in Kogi West remain united in their commitment to consolidating the gains of the APC administration and mobilizing grassroots support for the party’s candidates whenever elections are conducted.
He expressed confidence that the people of Kogi West would continue to identify with the APC because of its record of governance and its commitment to inclusive development.
“I reaffirm my personal commitment and the commitment of the Government and people of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area to work tirelessly in support of the APC and its candidates. We are prepared to play our part in ensuring that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and every APC candidate receive overwhelming support from our people. The APC mandate remains our collective priority because we believe in continuity, stability, and sustainable development.”
The Chairman called on residents of Kabba/Bunu Local Government and the entire Kogi West Senatorial District to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and actively engaged in the democratic process. He urged citizens to continue supporting the APC administration through constructive participation and lawful political engagement, expressing confidence that sustained collaboration between government and the people would further accelerate development across the district and Kogi State.
He concluded by assuring the people that his administration would remain focused on delivering responsive governance while working with all stakeholders to promote peace, unity, and continued socio-economic development.
