…Pledges Deeper Grassroots Mobilization For APC, Ododo Administration
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, on Monday received two strategic delegations at his residence in Lokoja, in a move that further highlights his commitment to grassroots mobilization and inclusive governance under the Ododo administration.
The first delegation was from the *Kogi State Forum of Supervisory Councilors*, comprising 105 Supervisory Councilors drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state. The Forum was led by its Chairman, *Hon. Anuku S. Musa*, Supervisory Councilor for Health, Adavi Local Government Area, alongside other members of the executive.
The Councilors commended Engr. Gegu for his exemplary leadership, accessibility, and dedication to the development of Kogi State. They solicited his collaboration and guidance to enable the Forum to effectively contribute to governance at the grassroots level.
In his response, the Commissioner lauded the critical role of Supervisory Councilors in bridging the gap between government and the people. He pledged robust cooperation with the Forum and charged them to remain steadfast in mobilizing support for the *All Progressives Congress, APC*, at all levels.
As a show of solidarity, the Forum presented campaign materials to the Commissioner.
Shortly after, Engr. Gegu also hosted the *APC Kogi State Woman Leader, Hajiya Rabi*, and women leaders from across the state.
The women said the visit was to appreciate the Commissioner for being women-friendly and for his consistent support for women inclusion in governance and party activities. They assured him of the women’s unwavering support for the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his remarks, Engr. Bashir Gegu thanked the women leaders for the solidarity visit. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that women continue to play a central role in governance and in the party’s growth in Kogi State.
The back-to-back engagements, observers noted, underscore the Commissioner’s growing influence as a unifier and mobilizer within the APC in Kogi State.
