LIGHTING UP RURAL KOGI: THE WORK OF ENGR. CASMIR OYIBO AND PRIVIDA POWER LIMITED

By: CNNPF Media Team 10th July 2026
In many villages across Kogi State, darkness has been the story for too long. But that story is changing.
Engr. Casmir Oyibo is the Kogi State Coordinator of Privida Power Limited – a Kogi-born engineer who has decided to take light to the grassroots.

The photo tells the story. Engr. Oyibo, on site in his safety vest, inspecting foundation work for rural Solar Electrification. No noise. No politics. Just service.
CNNPF caught up with him on site in Okura Ward, Dekina LGA, Ogane-Enugu, and several Wards in Ankpa LGA and Ofu LGA respectively.
WHAT PRIVIDA POWER IS DOING
Through Privida Power Limited, Engr. Oyibo is working to connect rural communities to sustainable solar energy. His team is laying foundations, erecting poles, building solar farms, and installing systems that will power homes, schools, health centers, and small businesses.
This is development you can touch.
WHY GOVERNMENT MUST PARTNER WITH HIM
Jobs: Each project employs local youths and artisans
Economy: Light means more small businesses and increased IGR for LGAs
Security: Lit communities are safer communities
Renewed Hope: This directly supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda of taking development to the people
CNNPF CALLS FOR PARTNERSHIP
Christian Northern Nigeria Progressive Forum – CNNPF commends Engr. Casmir Oyibo and Privida Power Limited for this selfless service.
As SSA on Christian Political Matters and National Chairman of the Christian Northern Nigeria Progressive Forum, I call on His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, Governor of Kogi State, and the Ministry of Rural Development to beam their searchlight on Engr. Casmir Oyibo and partner with Privida Power Limited to support the massive solar farms they are installing across Kogi State.
Areas of partnership can include:
1. Right of way and community engagement
2. Counterpart funding and tax incentives
3. Security for project sites
4. Inclusion in the state’s rural electrification master plan
With government backing, Privida Power can light up 10 more communities in Kogi before 2027.
Kogi needs more sons like Engr. Oyibo. Men who leave the office and go to the field. Men who believe that _“There must be a Nigeria before we experiment with leadership.”_ And there must be light before we talk about development.
God bless Engr. Casmir Oyibo.
God bless Privida Power Limited.
God bless Kogi State.
God bless Nigeria.
