By joshua KPSF Vows To Quadruple Tinubu’s 2023 Votes In Kogi East, Begins Strategy For 2027
The Kogi Progressives Stakeholders Forum, KPSF, Kogi East Chapter, has resolved to quadruple the votes recorded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election, ahead of the 2027 polls.
Stakeholders made the declaration on Thursday during a One-Day Strategic Review Meeting for the Reelection of President Tinubu, held at Wisdom Home Hotel, Anyigba.
The meeting attracted 9 LGA Coordinators and 97 Ward Coordinators of the Forum across the Eastern Senatorial District.
Addressing the gathering, the State Coordinator of KPSF, Sanni Philips, said the strategic meeting was convened to formulate strategies that will ensure President Tinubu wins the 2027 election overwhelmingly.
He described President Tinubu as a performing President, and hinged the Forum’s support on the administration’s achievements, including the removal of fuel subsidy which he said has led to increased infrastructure development, a foreign reserve base that has hit $51 billion, and numerous social intervention programs impacting citizens nationwide.
“Kogi East has never had it this good in terms of empowerment, appointments and infrastructure development,” Philips said.
“We have decided and determined not only to double the votes scored by President Tinubu in 2023, but to quadruple it in Kogi East.”
He also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in repositioning the APC in Kogi State, and praised Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho for attracting democratic dividends to Kogi East. He however appealed to the APC National Working Committee to reconsider its decision and retain Senator Echocho as the Kogi East Senatorial ticket holder, describing him as “a rallying point that will guarantee a massive win for President Tinubu.”
Philips said KPSF is committed to domesticating strategies in the East that will enable the President’s second-term win at the grassroots.
“This meeting will formulate strategy for each LGA. The challenges may be peculiar, but our concern is ensuring an overwhelming win for President Tinubu,” he added.
The Idah Zonal Constituency Coordinator, Peter Michael, assured that Kogi East will deliver 100 percent votes for APC and President Tinubu. He cited ongoing projects such as the construction of a military barrack, the appointment of a Minister from the district, and the recent N150 million rural electrification project inaugurated by the Minister for Steel Development as reasons for renewed support.
“Kogi East scored 173,000 votes in 2023. This time we will quadruple it. With our population, Kogi East will decide the polls,” Michael said.
Also speaking, the KPSF Zonal Women Leader, Florence Achoba, said victory for President Tinubu in Kogi East is sure, and lauded his policies for women. She said the President deserves a second term to consolidate and do more for women and families.
The Dekina LGA Coordinator, Abel Atayi, and Forum Chairman of KPSF LGA Coordinators, Sylvester Ojogbane, also lauded the President and expressed optimism that with the mobilization efforts of KPSF, nothing short of victory will be recorded in 2027.
The Forum called on all stakeholders in Kogi East to remain united and work together to deliver a landslide victory for the APC and President Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
