KOGI LGA APC EXCOS THANK COMMISSIONER BASHIR GEGU FOR MONTHLY STIPENDS TO PARTY STRUCTURE

Executives of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi Local Government Area have commended the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, *Engr. Bashir Gegu*, over the commencement of monthly stipends for Local Government Excos and the 11 Ward Chairmen.
The delegation, led by the LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq, paid an appreciative visit to the Commissioner on Wednesday.
Recall that in the first week of May 2026, Engr. Gegu pledged to support the party structure at the grassroots with monthly stipends. True to his word, payments for May and June 2026 have been made.
Describing the intervention as “the first of its kind in the history of Kogi LGA,” Hon. Sadiq said the gesture has boosted the morale of party faithful and strengthened the APC structure across all 11 wards.
“The timely support has energized our structures at the grassroots and reassured our members that their efforts are recognized,” he stated.
The Excos and Ward Chairmen, during the visit, pledged total commitment and loyalty to *Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo* and *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu*.
“Engr. Bashir Gegu leads with love and courage, hence he leads and we follow,” the party leaders affirmed.
In his response, Engr. Gegu charged the party leadership to intensify grassroots sensitization and mobilization to ensure more citizens benefit from the dividends of democracy under the current administration.
He reiterated that the welfare of party faithful remains a priority as the government continues to deliver on its promises.
