The candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Esan Central Constituency in the 2027 Edo State House of Assembly election, Saintmoses Eromosele (SME), has assured party members that he will remain loyal to the Party and the people who entrusted him with its ticket.

SME expressed appreciation to the Ward Executive Committee for its unanimous endorsement and support during the Party’s primary election.

The meeting, attended by all 24 Ward Executive Committee members and other Party faithful, was chaired by the Vice Chairman in the absence of the Chairman, who was away on a family engagement.

Speaking during a thank-you visit to his ward on Sunday, SME called for unity among old and new members of the NDC, including those who joined from the APC, PDP, Labour Party, ADC, and other political platforms.

“The primary election is over. The time for unity has come. We are one family now and we must work together for the success of our Party and the progress of our people,” he said.

Responding to concerns about political loyalty after election, SME gave what many members described as his strongest assurance of the day.

“I will not abandon the Party. I will not abandon the people. I will remain faithful to the mandate you have given me and to the cause we are pursuing together,” he declared.

He also emphasized that his campaign would be peaceful and focused on issues rather than personalities.

“I am not contesting against Governor Monday Okpebholo. I am contesting for the good of Esan Central. The Governor and a member of the House of Assembly can work together for the benefit of the people regardless of political differences. My campaign will focus on security, education, jobs, youth empowerment, infrastructure, and the welfare of our communities.”

The meeting ended with prayers and renewed commitments by Party members to work together towards victory in the 2027 election.
