IGBIMO ATULUSE CONDEMNS ILUKE-BUNU ATTACK, DEMANDS URGENT SECURITY ACTION AFTER VICE PRINCIPAL, 2 OTHERS KILLED

The leadership of IGBIMO ATULUSE strongly condemns the recent surge of insecurity, violence, and criminal activities plaguing our community.

We are particularly disturb about today’s invasion of Iluke-Bunu where the Vice Principal of Government Secondary School and two other persons were murdered in a cold blood.

Reports also have it that some students were abducted by the bandits after unleashing terror on the community.

The safety, peace, and livelihoods of our residents are under severe threat.

In recent weeks, our peaceful neighborhood has witnessed a disturbing rise in incidents, including armed robberies, kidnappings, and destruction of property.

This Relentless cycle of attacks has disrupted daily life, leaving families living in constant fear and crippling local economic activities.

We view this situation as an unacceptable breach of our fundamental right to safety.

A community where parents are afraid to send their children to school and residents live in fear is a failure of basic security governance.

We hereby make the following demands:

1)ENHANCED SECURITY PRESENCE: We call on the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to urgently deploy more personnel to patrol our communities and root out criminal elements.

2)COMMUNITY COLLABORATION : We advocate for increased intelligence-sharing between local leaders, vigilante groups, and formal security formations to establish sustainable grassroots security arrangements.

3)GOVERNMENT
ACCOUNTABILITY: We urge the Local and State Governments to provide the necessary logistical and financial support to local security outfits so they can effectively complement formal law enforcement.

We urge all residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious movements to the authorities, and avoid taking the law into their own hands.

We remain resolute in our demand for a safe and secure environment.

Signed:

IGBIMO ATULUSE
