By joshua KOGI FINANCE COMMISSIONER CONGRATULATES AMBASSADOR RAFIU OLUSOLA ENIKANOLAIYE ON APPOINTMENT AS MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ambassador Rafiu Olusola Enikanolaiye following his swearing-in as the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued through his Media Assistant, the Commissioner described the appointment as a fitting reward for a man whose career has been defined by excellence, dedication, and distinguished service to the nation.
He noted that Ambassador Enikanolaiye, an illustrious son of Yagba Land, has built an impressive record in Nigeria’s diplomatic service, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to him, the new minister’s wealth of experience, garnered from key diplomatic assignments in Addis Ababa, Belgrade, Ottawa, London, and New Delhi, as well as his role as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations, places him in a strong position to succeed in his new assignment.
Mukadam Asiru Idris said the appointment is a moment of pride not only for Yagba Land but for the entire Kogi State, expressing confidence that Ambassador Enikanolaiye will bring his vast knowledge, professionalism, and diplomatic expertise to bear in advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy interests and strengthening the country’s relationships across the globe.
The Commissioner also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding Ambassador Enikanolaiye worthy of the appointment, describing the decision as a reflection of the President’s commitment to competence, experience, and quality leadership in public service.
