OGORI SET FOR FINAL FAREWELL TO RENOWNED MEDICAL PRACTITIONER, DR. SEGUN NEZER KEYI
Preparations have been concluded for the final burial rites of renowned medical practitioner and community leader, Dr. Segun Nezer Keyi, Founder and Chief Medical Director of Lafiak Hospital, Abuja.
Dr. Keyi, who was also the senior brother of former Chairman of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Council, Dr. Mathew Keyi, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Ogori, Kogi State, following consultations and resolutions reached at the general meeting of the DANGANA and ELEGBE families of Ogoriland held last weekend.
Announcing the burial arrangements, the Chairman of the Burial Committee, Engr. Dada Omolaiye, alongside the Co-Chairman, Mr. Gani Oloyede, stated that the Wake-Keep Service will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the deceased’s First Foundation Residence, Ayeromi Quarters, Ogori.
According to the committee, the Funeral Service will hold on Saturday, July 4, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Ogori, after which interment will follow at the Community Cemetery, Ogori.
The committee noted that further updates concerning the burial programmes would be communicated as preparations continue.
Family members and associates of the late physician have continued to receive condolences and expressions of support from friends, professional colleagues, and members of the public since the announcement of his passing.
