EID EL-KABIR: Kogi NUP Urges Total Obedience to Allah, Congratulates Gov. Ododo and Muslim Faithful

The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Engr. Clement Ohida, has called on Muslims in the state to demonstrate total obedience to the will of Almighty Allah in order to receive His abundant blessings.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja to mark this year’s Eid el-Kabir, Ohida said the unconditional obedience of Prophet Ibrahim in offering to sacrifice his son, and the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, provide a clear guide for the faithful to earn Allah’s favour and blessings.
“Nigeria and Kogi State can overcome their current challenges and achieve prosperous development if all citizens live in total obedience to the will of the Almighty,” the NUP chairman stated.
Ohida urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and to use the occasion to pray for the state. He noted that the present administration of Gov. Usman Ododo has shown an unparalleled commitment to improving the welfare of pensioners, and said this deserves sustained prayers and support.
He congratulated Gov. Ododo and all Muslim faithful, particularly members of the NUP, for witnessing another Eid el-Kabir. He also encouraged them to look out for one another, adding that the union looks forward to better days ahead for pensioners in Kogi State.
