Dual Care HIV Prevention Initiative Honours Nigerian Post Publisher Abu Micheal with Certificate of Credence for Media Advocacy
The Dual Care HIV Prevention Initiative on Monday presented a Certificate of Credence to Abu Micheal, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Nigerian Post Newspaper, in recognition of his consistent support for vulnerable children affected by HIV and AIDS and his media advocacy for the organization’s work.
The presentation was made at the organization’s office by Executive Director, Pastor Mrs. Roseline Alabi, who said the award was a modest way of acknowledging individuals whose contributions bring visibility and relief to marginalized groups. She described Micheal’s regular media coverage as instrumental in spotlighting the activities of Dual Care and mobilizing public attention for children facing hardship due to HIV.
Alabi said the gesture reflected the organization’s belief in the importance of recognizing excellence and selfless service, noting that such recognition encourages sustained commitment to humanitarian causes. She called on well-meaning individuals and organizations to support vulnerable children in the same spirit demonstrated by the Nigerian Post editor-in-chief.
She urged citizens to partner with Dual Care to bring relief to more children, stressing that collective effort would reduce the burden on the initiative. Alabi also prayed for continued wisdom and resources for Micheal to sustain his contributions to society.
In his remarks, Micheal described the recognition as an elixir that would spur him to do more for humanity. He said selfless sacrifice was a way of life that gave him peace of mind and thanked the executive director for the spotlight. He pledged continued support for Dual Care and its programmes.
The Dual Care HIV Prevention Initiative focuses on reducing vulnerability among at-risk populations, with a mission of expanding access to quality information and services for children, women, and youths. Its thematic areas include care and support, prevention services, care for the elderly, counseling, and assistance for orphans and vulnerable children.
The award ceremony took place during the same week the organization provided school fees and sandals to seven vulnerable children in Kogi State.
