Karimi’s Projects Stir Admiration in Egbe, Stakeholders Urge Cohesion in Kogi West
There is growing commendation for the developmental strides of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi in Egbe, as community leaders and observers highlight the visible impact of his interventions across the area.
Speaking after participating in the 2025 Egbe Mekun Day Celebrations, Professor Tunde Olusunle said the senator’s contributions have become a source of pride not only for Egbe but for the wider Kogi West Senatorial District.
He explained that a firsthand inspection of projects executed in the community revealed substantial investments in critical sectors. These include a fully functional Computer-Based Test centre at Titcombe College, as well as a Forward Operating Base established to reinforce security operations.
Also cited was the construction of a modern palace for the Elegbe of Egbe, which he described as a landmark achievement reflecting respect for traditional institutions.
According to Olusunle, the senator’s efforts extend beyond infrastructure, with several youths benefiting from scholarship programmes and employment opportunities facilitated over the past two academic sessions.
While acknowledging these developments, he called for stronger unity among political actors and residents across Okunland, noting that internal cohesion is essential to sustaining progress.
He cautioned against divisive tendencies and external political interference, urging stakeholders to prioritise collective interest and safeguard ongoing achievements.
Observers say the growing recognition of Senator Karimi’s performance may influence political alignments in the district, as calls intensify for continuity and consolidated development in Kogi West.
