Eid-el-Fitr: PDP Presidential Aspirant, Dr. Gbenga Kashim Felicitates Muslims in Kogi, Urges Unity, Sacrifice, Compassion.
Dr. Gbenga Kashim, Leading People’s Democratic Party Presidential Aspirant, has congratulated Muslim faithful across the country on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the virtues of unity, peace, and sacrifice that defined the Holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement he personally signed, Dr. Gbenga said the sacred period of Ramadan, defined by sacrifice, discipline, and deep spiritual reflection, typified the rebirth that Nigeria as a nation needs at this particular time.
He commended the Muslim faithful in North Central Nigeria in particular for their devotion and spiritual commitment demonstrated during the period of fasting, prayers, and acts of charity.
The Aspirant noted that the values of compassion, tolerance, and selflessness exemplified during Ramadan are essential for building a peaceful, united, and prosperous society.
He therefore enjoined Muslims to sustain these virtues beyond the Ramadan period and continue to promote harmony, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
The Presidential Aspirant used the occasion to wish all Muslim faithful in Kogi state a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, urging them to remember the less privileged and show them love especially at this period of need.
While further wishing Muslims happy celebration, Dr. Gbenga prayed God to accept their prayers of peace in the country.
