Mischief Makers Targeting APC Unity in Kogi West Over Sen. Karimi’s Solid Representation

Kogi West Patriots, umbrella body for Professionals from the Senatorial District, said they have noticed with keen interest a disturbing trend that is unfolding in Kogi West Senatorial District.
According to a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, the Patriots disclosed that some individuals are allegedly attempting to undermine the unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over Senator Sunday Karimi’s outstanding performance.
They lambasted a group claiming to be APC Ward Chairmen in Yagba West Local Government Area, who have purportedly passed a vote of no confidence on Sen. Karimi.
The Patriots further expressed worry stating that sources revealed that the APC Ward Chairmen, inaugurated just two weeks ago, are being used for a paltry sum.
We therefore want to use this medium to commend Sen. Karimi, representing Kogi West for his legislative track record, grassroots vibe, and commitment to fiscal responsibility, equitable development, security, and rural infrastructure.
We the Patriots who are his constituents are calling for his second term, citing his impactful representation.
With just two years in the Senate, Karimi has sponsored over ten bills, moved 30 motions, and delivered notable projects, including the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin road, Pakuta bridge, and over 150 boreholes across Kogi West.
He has also empowered women and youths through scholarships and bursaries.
We therefore use this opportunity to call on Kogi West Constituents to note that the Chairman, Committee of Senate Services, have leveraged his position to benefit Kogi West and Nigeria.
His initiatives which span critical sectors, aims at uplifting the district’s development and quality of life.
We the people of Kogi West are therefore appreciative of Karimi’s efforts and we are poised to support his re-election. His accessibility, integrity, and philanthropy have earned him a solid reputation.
The attempted sabotage by those who do not love Kogi West will not stand as united we are on the President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Sen. Karimi’s projects beyond 2027.
We wish to State that some external forces who are attempting to put obstacles on our path to progress have failed again as we urge all sons and daughters of Kogi West Senatorial District to remain resolute in their support for Sen. Sunday Karimi.
This call has become clear as we are aware that there will be other several fake plots against the performing Senator of our time, Sen. Karimi.
While we call for calm, one thing that is sure is that Kogi West people are resolved in their support for Sen. Karimi as his testament of his impact to constituents remains verifiable as such we the people have vowed to rally behind him in sustaining the gains made in just over two years, come rain, come sunshine.
Sen. Karimi’s achievements include:
– Infrastructure: Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin road, Pakuta Bridge, Abuja-Lokoja-Okene Highway dualization
– Water Access: 75 solar-powered boreholes, 60 water schemes restored
– Education and Empowerment: ₦100 million student scholarships, ₦300 million statewide bursary, ₦100 million women’s empowerment fund
– Healthcare: ₦150 million Edo Community Hospital investment, ₦11 million nursing school donation
– Security: ₦750 million Forward Operating Base Egbe, Ejuku Police Post construction
As Kogi West gears up for the 2027 election, we the constituents are optimistic about his re-election, citing his dedication to their well-being.
We urge Constituents not to allow themselves to be used by external forces, whose aim is to put spanner in the wheel of our progress.
