NEW N.B.A BRANCH, NEW VISION: WELCOME TO NBA ANKPA
It was a renewed vigour as a new era of legal excellence begins in Ankpa as dignitaries witnessed the inauguration of Nigerian Bar Association Ankpa branch. The NBA executive committee, marking a renewed commitment to justice, innovation and stronger professional collaboration.
The inauguration of the new chapter took place at the premises of the High Court of justice Ankpa, Ankpa local government Area of Kogi state on 26th February 2026. A legal collosus Bishop/Professor Sam Acheneje Agada Esq was officially sworn in as the interim chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ankpa branch. It was another beggining of legal excellence and proudly happy to usher in a leadership committed to innovation and integrity and the rule of law in advancing the course of justice.
In his inaugural speech on behalf of his executive council , Professor Agada stated that he will run an all inclusive administration. Stretching that he was one of those lawyers who facilitated the founding of NBA Idah branch in the year 1991, promising that he wil work with his team with the cooperation of the entire members with the tenets of NBA for the welfare and development of the legal profesion in the newly approved Ankpa branch .
He also expressed his profound gratitude to the indomitable Chief/Dr Ogwu Onoja ,SAN, whose suport facilitated the actualisation of NBA Ankpa branch .
In his speech , the immediate past Ankpa lawyers forum , Elder/Bar Dickson Adejoh Itodo (JP) emphasized the commitment of prof Agada to the realization and approval of the NBA Ankpa branch . He re echoed the focus of the NBA for decentralization , accessibility and grassroot engagement .
Good will messages pouring in from M .A Ebute SAN, JJ Usman, SAN, Hassan SAN, and others encouraging the members and reminding them as guardians of the rule of law , defenders of people’s liberty , should also cooperate and ensure that the branch is moved to the next level .
The inaugural leadership constitutes ;

2.Vice chairman ~ Elder /Barr Dickson Adejoh Itodo (JP).
3.Secretary ~ Barr Baba Ali.
4.Treasurer ~ Barr E.Z Abba.
5. Director of Socials ~ Barr J U Okpanachi .
The oath of office was administered by a distinguished personality who is an upper Area Court Judge , Barr Emmanuel Nema Adejoh . He charged the NBA leadership and the entire members to deliver on their core mandate of focusing on the rule of law , members welfare and professional development .
