The Member Representing Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Yahaya Umar, has reaffirmed his commitment to impacting his constituency through effective representation and people-oriented projects.

In an interview with The Nigerian Post, Hon. Umar disclosed that his personal project to provide portable water in all 11 Wards of Omala Local Government is at an advanced stage, with motorized boreholes under construction at about 60% completion.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure that our people have access to clean water, thereby reducing waterborne diseases,” he said.

The lawmaker also highlighted his legacy projects in the Zonal headquarters of the Local Government, including a cottage hospital in Ogodu and a police post in Olaedehi, with plans for a Town hall or Cottage hospital in Abejukolo, attributed his achievements to the State government’s supportive environment.

Hon. Umar who has also made significant interventions in education, is offering scholarships and financial support to students, particularly those pursuing science-related courses.

“I am committed to serving the people and leaving a lasting legacy in Omala,” he said.
