
Kogi Women Farmers Assured of Inclusion in State Agricultural Programmes

… Affirm support for AFAN Chairman.
Members of Women Farmers Cooperative Federation, Kogi state chapter, have been assured of inclusion in all agricultural programmes in the state.

Kogi state Chairman of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Alhaji Salihu Adobanyi, gave the assurance when he received the women farmers in his office in Lokoja.
Adobanyi said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has invested heavily in agriculture to boost food production and promised farming inputs to the women farmers to increase their yield.
Alhaji Raji Musa, a stakeholder of AFAN, commended the women farmers for their dedication and urged them to expand their agricultural production and processing activities.
Hajia Hanatu Ibrahim, President of Women Farmers Cooperative Federation, Kogi state chapter, thanked the state AFAN leadership for their support and requested financial assistance and agricultural tools to enhance their cassava and rice farming activities. Elder Issac Obisesan, Zonal Coordinator West, urged AFAN and the state Ministry of Agriculture to provide opportunities for the women farmers.
The meeting aimed to strengthen ties between the women farmers and AFAN, enabling them to access government support and resources to boost their agricultural production.
