ADC Members Urge Sen. Dino to Contest 2027 Senate Seat

Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from Lokoja/Koto federal constituency have urged Senator Dino Melaye to contest the 2027 Senate election.
The call was made during a courtesy visit to Sen. Melaye in Abuja on Tuesday, where the delegation expressed their unanimous support for his candidacy.
Leader of the group, Hon. Umar Farouq Babamadi, described Sen. Dino as a politician who always carries everyone along, adding that the party needs his leadership to win elections.
“We believe that ADC needs a politician like Sen. Dino to win the 2027 Senate election,” Babamadi said.
He noted that the party’s composition in Lokoja/Koto is dominated by former PDP members, and appealed to the leadership to include members from other parties.
Sen. Dino thanked the delegation, promising to consult widely before taking decisions, and called on them to work tirelessly to build the party.
The group also expressed confidence in Senator Tunde Ogbeha’s leadership, describing him as a father figure.
“We strongly believe in the leadership of Senator Tunde Ogbeha, who is father to all of us,” Babamadi said, adding that ADC is poised for victory in Kogi State under Ogbeha’s leadership.
