Aiguobasinmwin Movement Calls On Governor OKpebholo To Disassociate Himself From The Enemies Of Oba

By Ikhili Ebalu, Benin city
A Socio Cultural group, the Aiguobasinmwin Movement World- Wide ( AMWW), has called on the Edo state governor, Senator Monday OKpebholo to dissociate himself from those who have been the enemies of the sacred great Benin Throne.
The group in a statement signed by
Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture-President, AIGUOBASINMWIN MOVEMENT WORLD-WIDE and Osayuki-Osa Benson-Secretary General warned that anyone who disrespect the Benin Throne is automatically an enemy of the kingdom.
The statement reads : “We have observed with deep concern a troubling and persistent pattern under the current administration in which Governor Monday Okpebholo appears to accommodate individuals who have previously shown open disrespect and made disparaging remarks against our highly revered Benin Royal Institution.
“A notable case in contention are Joker, Adaze Ewantan and now Eranomigho, whose past conduct toward the Benin monarchy and its sacred traditions remains a matter of public record and grave concern.
“This disturbing trend, which is being vigorously pursued under the present administration, raises serious questions among well-meaning sons and daughters of the Benin Kingdom.
“It is wholly unacceptable that individuals with a history of disrespect, malicious utterances, and antagonistic conduct toward our sacred institution are now finding comfort, relevance, and patronage within the corridors of power.
“We are therefore compelled to urgently call on Governor Monday Okpebholo to clearly disassociate himself from these habitual political opportunists—individuals who move from one government to another solely to advance selfish ambitions and pursue destructive agendas inimical to the peace, unity, and heritage of the Benin Kingdom.
“The sanctity, dignity, and cultural heritage of the Benin Royal Institution must never be compromised for political convenience or expediency. Our history is sacred, our traditions are inviolable, and our collective resolve to defend them remains unwavering.
Eranomigho in particular has a lot of questions to answer arising from his past and recently utterances against the great people of Benin Nation.”
