The Project Coordinator, Kogi State ACReSAL Project, Barr. Ladi Jatto OON, has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to continue pursuing love, tolerance, and peace with adherents of other religions throughout the yuletide season and into the New Year.

In her Christmas message, the Project Coordinator highlighted that the birth of Jesus Christ is a divine reminder of peace and love for the world. She noted that being alive to witness another Christmas is a privilege, especially given the prevailing circumstances in Nigeria and globally, and thus, the occasion calls for celebration.

She advised Christians to celebrate in moderation, dedicating ample time to appreciate God’s mercies and reflect on ways to serve God and humanity. He emphasized that the festive period should be used to pray for peace, development, unity, and prosperity* for the State and nation in general.

The Project Coordinator further urged the people of Kogi State and all Nigerians to pray for the success of the present administration at all levels, to steer the country toward greater achievements in key sectors. She reminded that Jesus Christ, the “Prince of Peace,” exemplified humility, urging Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliation, to embrace peace and learn humility from the Christmas story.

“God has used Christmas to teach us humility and His omnipotence. For the King of kings and Lord of lords to be born in a manger—a place for livestock—is a great mystery and a lesson in humility,” Barr. Ladi said. She added, “The birth of Jesus Christ made the salvation and redemption of man possible, the greatest gift of God to mankind.”
