LOKOJA — Hon. Umar Yahaya, lawmaker representing Omala State Constituency, has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians across Nigeria, particularly those from Omala State Constituency.
He urged believers to pursue love, tolerance, and peace with followers of other religions throughout the yuletide season and into the New Year.
In his message, Hon. Yahaya highlighted the birth of Jesus Christ as a divine reminder of peace and love for the world.
He noted that being alive to witness another Christmas is a privilege, especially given the prevailing circumstances in Nigeria and globally, making the occasion a call for celebration.
He advised Christians to celebrate in moderation, dedicating time to appreciate God’s mercies and reflect on ways to serve God and humanity.
The festive period, he emphasized, should be used to pray for peace, development, unity, and prosperity for the nation.
The lawmaker further urged the people of Kogi State and all Nigerians to pray for the success of the present administration at all levels, with emphasis on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, to steer the country and State toward greater achievements in key sectors.
