APC Chieftain Prince Yahaya Audu Sends Warm Christmas Greetings, Urges Christians to Embody Love, Peace, and Tolerance
LOKOJA — Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, Prince Yahaya Audu, has extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to pursue love, tolerance, and peace with adherents of other religions during this yuletide season and throughout the New Year.
In his Christmas message, Prince Audu highlighted that the birth of Jesus Christ is a divine reminder of peace and love for the world. He noted that being alive to witness another Christmas is a privilege, especially given the prevailing circumstances in Nigeria and globally, and thus, the occasion calls for celebration.
However, Prince Audu advised Christians to celebrate in moderation, dedicating ample time to appreciate God’s mercies and reflect on ways to serve God and humanity.
He emphasized that the festive period should be used to pray for peace, development, unity, and prosperity for the nation.
The APC chieftain further called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliation, to embrace peace—a crucial need for the country at this time. He urged them to learn lessons of humility from the Christmas story, noting that Jesus, the “Prince of Peace,” was born in a lowly manger, illustrating God’s humility and power.
“God has used Christmas to teach us the lessons of humility and that He has the power to do all things. For the King of kings and the Lord of lords to be born in a manger, a place of abode for livestock, is a great mystery, and a lesson in humility,” Prince Audu said.
He added, “The birth of Jesus Christ has made the salvation and redemption of man possible, and this is the greatest gift of God to mankind.”
Prince Audu also urged the people of Kogi State and all Nigerians to pray for the success of the present administration at all levels, to drive the nation toward greater heights in key sectors.
