
Yuletide: Tycoon Fetes widows, Disable Persons In Ebonyi

It was a moment of utmost joy as the Chief Executive Officer, Tycoon group of companies, Chief Dr. Benson Ikechukwu Okpalanzekwe celebrated Christmas with widows, physically challenged persons and less privileged individuals.

The momentous occasion which held at Tycoon hotel Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital had over 200 beneficiaries in attendance and it featured propagation of word of God by clergymen and distribution of clothes, undisclosed Cash and 12.5kg bags of rice.

In his remarks, the Tycoon boss said that he was motivated to celebrate with the widows, physically challenged persons and the less privileged individuals as a way of appreciating God Almighty for his love, care and good works upon his family, saying that the ceremony has been an annual event, while reiterating his commitment and dedication to continually touching the lives of the needy positively in the State.

The Chief executive officer disclosed that the company through its welfare team has graduated many students under their scholarship scheme from primary to University including physically challenged persons.
He expressed his readiness to establish a permanent free education programme with the view to ensuring inclusiveness of the less privileged and physically challenged persons in the society.

He extended his warm appreciation to his immediate and extended family members, his workers, individuals, churches and corporate institutions for their total support to achieving such great vision, while assuring never to relent in providing services to humanity.
He therefore commended Ebonyi State Governor Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for providing conducive environment for businesses to thrive in the State.
In a homily, Rev. Canon Ndukwu of Anglican Communion in Abakaliki, encouraged all and sundry to cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God and assist the needy as it attracts huge blessings.
The clergy who described the benefactor as a great philanthropist of high repute who has impacted lives positively, prayed for more God’s blessings upon him and his family in order to continue to touch the lives of the downtrodden in the society.
He urged well to do individuals in the society to endeavor to be giving to the poor as one can only be remembered by what he or she has done to humanity before leaving the planet earth.
The chairman principal rehabilitation center Ugwuachara Mr. Silas Egede who commended the Tycoon chief executive officer for celebrating christmas them, urged the persons with disabilities to continue trusting in God, discover talents embedded in them and utilize it very well instead of engaging themselves into street begging while advising that they shouldn’t allow their present conditions to weigh them down as there is ability in disability and assured the benefactor of their continued prayers.
The beneficiaries including Ikechukwu Onyenwuma, Regina David among others extolled the the Tycoon CEO for the gesture and prayed God to replenish him in millionfold.
