Lokoja LG Chairman Presents N10.7bn Budget for 2026, Seeks Legislative Approval
Comr. Abdullahi Adamu, Executive Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area, has presented the year 2026 draft budget to the legislative council of Lokoja Local Government. The Chairman submitted 2026 draft estimate of Ten Billion Seven Hundred and Eighty Million, Three Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Ten Naira only (N10,780,374,610) for legislative speedy consideration and subsequent approval.
The Chairman mentioned that the 2026 budget intends to consolidate on the developmental strides attained by his administration since assumption of office. Comr. Abdullahi said his administration has in the past year undertaken several renovation of PHC facilities, blocks of classroom in the ten Wards of the Local Government as well as completion of lockup shops at Old Market, behind LGA Secretariat, refurbishment of Legislative Council Bus amongst other accomplishments.
The Lokoja LGA Chairman said the 2026 budget will enable the administration consolidate the gains of democracy for the people, assured that his administration would meet the developmental promises made to the people, described the 2026 budget as robust, geared towards meeting with the yearning and aspirations of the people.
