He Founded Atlantic Drilling Fluids Services Limited, executing water projects across Nigeria. He once served as Mathematics teacher during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
With a political career as former member, House of Representatives, Karimi represented Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopamuro constituency (2011-2019).
The Kogi West Senator has to his credit Bills and Motions to include; Central Bank of Nigeria (Amendment Bill 2023) aiming to bar CBN Governor and Deputies from partisan politics.
