Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, PSC, MNI, Promises to be Ruthless Against Criminal Elements in the State, Assures Residents of Adequate Security.
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, PSC, MNI, has reaffirmed his commitment to dealing ruthlessly with criminal elements and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state. He gave the assurance when the Publisher and CEO of Confluence Trust Newspaper, Lokoja, Hon. Solomon Agada, paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lokoja.
CP Kankarofi maintained that Kogi State is no longer a safe haven for criminals, warning that anyone caught engaging in illegal activities will face the full weight of the law, regardless of social status or influence. He further cautioned those involved in drug peddling and related offences to desist immediately or relocate from the state henceforth.
The Commissioner urged members of the public to volunteer credible and verifiable information on suspicious individuals and activities, noting that most crimes cannot be committed in isolation. He added that security surveillance has been intensified across the state as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime.
He applauded Hon. Solomon Agada and the management of Confluence Trust Newspaper for their dedication to objective reportage of activities within the state and beyond. CP Kankarofi encouraged the media organization to remain focused, stressing that maintaining security is a collective responsibility. He also pledged to collaborate with the newspaper toward achieving a crime-free society.
In his remarks, Hon. Solomon Agada appreciated the Commissioner for the warm reception and assured him of continued media support through adequate coverage and publicity aimed at promoting the activities of the command.
