Lokoja LGA PDP Leader Receives New State Chairman, Demands Broadbase Leadership.
The Leaders and Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party from Lokoja Local Government, led by Hon. Baba Sule Dan Sarki, have described the victory of Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo and his emergence as the Kogi State People’s Democratic Party Chairman as a welcome development, urge him to be a true Chairman, a leader of all, serve as an umbrella that will provide cover for all, regardless of ethnic sentiments.
The PDP leader today received in audience, Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo, the Kogi State PDP Chairman, who is on visit to leaders and members of the Party after his victory.
Recalled that the Federal High Court Lokoja in a declarative judgement, declared Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo as the duly elected Chairman with valid votes at the August 2024 State PDP Congress.
Hon. Baba Sule described the present time as one that requires the Party to galvanize members to it fold, said only a broad base leadership, that carries members along would stand the present challenges.
Hon. Baba Sule urged the Chairman to set in place mechanism towards reawakening the PDP ahead the 2027 Election, described his victory as divine and God’s time.
Hon Baba Sule appreciated the problems and challenges the PDP maybe going through presently, express confidence in the ability of Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo”s leadership to navigate the issues the party maybe going through, described PDP as truly a party for the people, with structures that makes it a Party with national appeal.
Hon. Baba Sule cautioned against impunity, urged that the Party be returned to the People. He called for tolerance from members, pointing out that the time is not for sentiments, but time to be truthful to make and position the Party for the times ahead.
In his remarks, Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo, promised to build a Party where every individual will be given due recognition.
The Chairman described his emergence as victory for all, called on the members of the PDP in the State to see his emergence as one that is geared towards making the umbrella serve the people.
He appealed to aggrieved members to find a place in there heart for forgiveness, said he requires all hands to be on deck for the rebuilding process.
