Special Adviser, Nihi Oladele Encourages, Empowers 2 Kogi Youths

Special Adviser, Nihi Oladele Encourages, Empowers 2 Kogi Youths

As part of my efforts in supporting and encouraging young people to be self-reliant and consider things they can do legitimately to make ends meet instead of waiting for government jobs while discussing unemployment, I met with *Agagwu Israel* and *Yahaya Sani,* both from the Eastern part of Kogi State, at my office at the OJN Foundation Secretariat yesterday.

These two young men jointly founded a business and are today selling well-packaged bean cake, popularly known as Akara, but they have chosen to call their own *‘akala anana’,* which is bean cake in the Igala language.

As the Special Adviser on Youth and Student Matters to *His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State*, I appreciated their efforts in looking inward and showcasing what idle Kogi/Nigerian youths can do. I also promised that OJN Foundation will partner with and support them to ensure their business succeeds. Ordinarily, a pack costs N3,500, but I purchased 1 pack for N50,000.

Finally, I shared some of my thoughts and advice to help their business, such as having smaller packs to make it affordable to all, among others.

Joining me to receive the young businessmen are *Hon. Samuel Kadiri*, SSA on Grassroots Mobilization and *Hon. Alonge Israel Femi*, SSA on Digital Communication to the Governor of Kogi State.
