Attempt to Divide Kogi West Along Tribal Lines, Not Acceptable.
Dear Distinguish Senator Steve Karimi,
It is unfortunate and deeply disappointing that at a time when we should be working together to bring progress and development to Kogi West, you have chosen the path of division rather than unity. Kogi West is one indivisible senatorial district, not bounded by tribe, but by shared history, mutual respect, and a common destiny.
The attempt to pitch one tribe against another—whether Okun, Lokoja, or Koto—is a betrayal of the mandate given by the people to serve everyone equally. Leadership is not about fanning ethnic sentiments; it is about uniting people, attracting development, and creating opportunities for all.
Our strength as a people lies in our diversity. For decades, Kogi West has stood as a model of peaceful coexistence and political cooperation. To now see efforts to fragment that unity for narrow political gain is both dangerous and unacceptable.
We call on all sons and daughters of Kogi West—regardless of tribe or political affiliation—to reject this divisive rhetoric. Let us focus on the issues that truly matter: good roads, functional schools, youth empowerment, healthcare, and effective representation.
The future of Kogi West will not be built on the politics of tribe, but on the politics of progress, justice, and unity.
Nobody is stopping you from contesting Governorship but try to be distinguish in your quest.
Each time you talk about Western Senatorial district you only consider Okun Kingdoms, in case you have forgotten, your victory was stamped in Lokoja koto federal constituency.
Lokoja koto will not align with your ambition except if it is for unity of purpose, we are with the formula of 16- 16 – 16.
I am advising you as one of your strongest supporter in the last election to respect the people of Lokoj Koto Federal constituency , Kogi west is for all of us.
