Kabba Cultural Day: Sen. Karimi Donates N50m, Sues for Peace, Unity, Progress

 

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sunday Steve Karimi, made a donation of the sum of N50m in support of the 2025 Kabba Cultural Day celebration today.

Sen. Karimi described Kabba as the undisputed headquarters of Kogi West that has been the pace setter of development and progress in the area.

Sen. Karimi congratulated Kabba people at home and in diaspora on the occasion, emphasized Kabba’s leading role in Okunland’s progress, expressed pride in being called a ‘Kabba man’.

The Senator stressed the need for unity, peace, and security among Okun people and Kogi West, assuring that he’ll continue advocating for them as their representative. He urged everyone to be vigilant amid the rising insecurity, asking them to report any strange face or movement to the nearest police station, reminding them that security starts from the community level. He also stated that the governments at all levels are doing their best, and it will continue until the last of them is either taken out or leave our land.

The senator reaffirmed President Tinubu’s commitment to rebuilding Nigeria and encouraged Kogi West people to support the President’s re-election bid, as a show of appreciation for his love, support, and inclusivity in his government. He called for mass registration for permanent voter’s cards, saying votes are a powerful way to show appreciation to the president, which should be done in hundreds of thousands.

The Senator concluded by donating ₦20 million to the event and promising to rally ₦30 million more by year-end, totaling ₦50 million. He emphasized using votes as “strength” to support the President and development efforts, whilst praying for peace and prosperity of kabba and entire Kogi West Senatorial District.
