By Ikhili Ebalu, Benin City
The management of Ossiomo Power Company says it remains committed to the rule of law, protection of its assets, rapid industrial and economic development, and peaceful coexistence within the ambit of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Deputy General Manager of the company, Engr. Francis Ekwe and made available to Aljazirah Nigeria in Benin City.
Ekwe, noted that the company would continue to pursue all lawful measures to safeguard its operations while maintaining open communication and mutual respect with all stakeholders.
Engr. Ekwe in his statement stated , that the management of Osiomo Power Company remained consistent of any and antithetical to any breach of court order by any party.
The statement explained that there is a persisting court order delivered on the 11th of September, 2025 which expressly restrains CCETC from using the 33KV line and the gas infrastructure owned by the company.
However, there has been clear violation of the valid court order when, on the 5th of October, 2025, CCETC illegally entered Ossiomo gas plant, opened the valve, switched on their engines, and began to supply power on the 33KV line and the gas infrastructure owned by Ossiomo company in Ologbo community, lkpoba okha local government area of Edo state.
The statement further urged members of the public to take note of the illegal entrance by CCETC but appealed for calm as the Ossiomo would continue to provide its best services to the people.
The statement urged CCETC to vacate their site and cease all unauthorised operations as CCETC is seeking alternative locations to set up within the Ologbo community to be operating.
The management of Ossiomo assured its customers on 33kv line that all efforts and resources are being put in place to resume their 24/7 power supply within the shortest possible time.
All efforts to reach CCETC to get reaction proved abortive as the line continued to say not reach-able.
