Zekeri Ola Organises Remembrance Prayer For Late Dad.

The family of Late Abubakar Ola Organised Remembrance prayer for the reposed of their late father Alh. Abubakar Ola Oke who died about 12 years ago.
The prayer session was held at his family’s compound, Anguwan Pawa with the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Shiek Alh. Mohammed Aminu Shaban who led other Islamic clerics to pray for the reposed soul of late Alh. Abubakar Ola.
The Chief Imam extolled the good virtues of late Baba Ola and the good things he did on earth while alive,
most especially his impact on the life of so many people in the society.
Prayers were presented by various Imams and Islamic clerics including reading from the Holy Quran and a brief lecture delivered by Imam Ibrahim Inyass and reading of the complete Quran and Dala’ilu in honour of the late Baba Ola.
Late Abubakar Ola was an old hand politician in the then northern region, during the Northern Element Progressive Union (NEPU) in the first Republic.
He was a professional photographer of highest repute in the then Kwara State and northern region as a whole. A freelance photo journalist with Kwara State Ministry of Information and has contributed immensely as a community leader to the development of Lokoja and beyond.
For those who grew up and schooled in Lokoja in the 40s, 50s, 60s 70s and late 80s and early 90s knew him very well because as of then, most schools engaged his services. He has travelled across rivers Niger and Benue to riverine areas, villages in the course of performing his professional job as a photographer.
Many dignitaries, political associates his party members and supporters were all in attendance to pray for Baba for Allah to grant him Aljanah fidaus.
