
Kogi PDP Crisis: “All I ask For is Justice”, Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo Appeals to International Community, Well Meaning Nigerian’s, Chief Justice of the Federation.

Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo, Runner up in the Kogi State PDP Chairmanship election, held on August 31st, 2024, Congress has called on the international Community and well meaning Nigerian’s to beam their searchlight on the Illegality ongoing in the Kogi State PDP.
Hon. Gambo said having written private and open letters to the National leadership of the Party, PDP Governorship Forum, lamented that the PDP is still allowing illegality to prevail by Enemona Anyebe to still preside as Chairman of the State PDP.
Hon. Muhammad said his call became necessary for the International Community and well meaning Nigerian’s to come to his aid, pointing out that possibly because he has no godfather, with those trampling on his victory boosting of power and riches to suppress his Inauguration.
Hon. Gambo explained that it is regrettable that Enemona Anyebe, would still be allowed to illegally operate as Chairman of the State PDP, still be allowed to preside over meetings and the conduct of Wards and Local Governments Congress that elected officials for the PDP recently.
Hon. Gambo said having personally written a letter to PDP Acting National Chairman, also copied the PDP National Secretary, The PDP National Legal Adviser, The PDP National Organizing Secretary as well as His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed,
Executive Governor of Bauchi State and
Chairman PDP Governor’s Forum, lamented that the PDP, a Party in the opposition will allow a man who the Court barred from contesting the Primaries would still be allowed to parade himself as State Chairman of the PDP.
According to him, PDP is operating with the laws of the land as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but lamented that powerful person(s), have boosted to trample on the Constitution to the dismay of what is contained in several court orders and judgement.
Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo, said the purported State and Ward Congresses conducted by Enemona Anyebe is an affront on the Judiciary, called on the Minister for Justice of the Federation as well as the Chief Justice of the Federation, to place a searchlight on the Illegality going on in Kogi State PDP.
Hon. Muhammad warned of the grave legal implication for the PDP to allow Enemona Anyebe to conduct the Wards and Local Government Congress, when he is not the legally responsible Chairman of the PDP.
Hon. Muhammed Sani Gambo in the statement strongly warned that the Kogi PDP Wards and Local Government Area Congresses maybe heading for challenge if a man who ought not to be Chairman is allowed to preside, urged them to be weary of the illegality, described the action by Enemona Anyebe as disrespect for Court orders on contempt and a judgement delivered by courts of competent jurisdiction.
Hon. Muhammed pointed out that the exercise of August 31st was widely adjudged free and fair, except for the
participation of Hon. Ememona Anyebe, who, at the time, he added was under a valid and subsisting restraining order issued by the High Court of Kogi State barring him from contesting.
While Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo disclosed that he recognizes the constitutional rights of the PDP to organize its internal affairs, drew the attention of the PDP to the grave legal implications of allowing Enemona to supervise the Wards and Local Government Areas Congress.
Hon. Gambo disclosed that the PDP Congress conducted on 31st
August, 2024, duly monitored by the Indepehdent National Electoral Commission.
(NEC) pursuant to Secion 82(1)45) of the Electoral Act,2022, as well as various
security agencies.
He noted that the exercise was widely adjudged free and fair, except for the
participation of Hon. Ememona Anyebe, who, at the time, was under a valid and
subsisting restraining order issued by the High Court of Kogi State barring him from contesting that till date was not appealed against.
He added that with the standing order, Mr. Anyebe participated and was declared winner, but explained that a Court, in a contempt proceedings, subsequently declared his participation illegal
and void.
While pointing out that it is important to note that the said consequential order against the Judgement that declared Enemona Anyebe’s participation illegal is presently the subject of a subsisting appeal before the Court of Appeal in CA/ABJ/CV/607/2025, and a
Motion for Stay of Execution has been duly filed and served on all parties.
Hon. Muhammed said aside the
appeal now pending before the Court of Appeal, Abuja, said he has also instituted a suit before the Federal High Court,Lokoja (FHC/LKJ/CS/39/2024), wherein he
seeks a declaration that he is the validly elected Chairman of the PDP in Kogi State,
having come second in the election in which Mr. Enemona, who was declared
winner, had no legal basis to participate.
Hon. Muhammed said the matter has been heard and adjourned
for judgment to a date to be communicated to the parties by the Court, described the attempt to preside over the Ward and Local Government Congress as Illegality of the highest order by the PDP, called on the International Community and well meaning Nigerian’s to beam their searchlights on the Illegality going on in the State PDP.
Hon. Muhammed noted that once a matter is submitted to the jurisdiction of a
competent court, parties must refrain from taking any step capable of rendering the outcome nugatory or foisting a fait accompli on the court, wondered where the PDP at the National level, with other critical stakeholders of the Party who are in the know, will allow such Illegality of allowing Enemona Anyebe still parade himself as Chairman.
Hon. Muhammed described the conduct of the PDP as one amounting to an affront to the judicial process and interference with the
constitutional powers of the court under Section 6(6)(b)of the Constitution of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria,1999(as amended), called on the International Community, human rights activists and other Nigerian’s to look critically at the ongoing in the Kogi PDP.
Hon. Muhammed said allowing Enemona Anyebe to preside over the conduct of the congresses in September, would not only be premature but could also trigger
avoidable intra-party disputes and litigation.
Hon. Muhammad described the PDP action as a breach of the Party’s Constitution
and the Electoral Act, will also expose the Party to avoidable legal consequences.

Bauchi State Liaison Office, Abuja, lamented that with all his attempts to intimate the PDP of the anomaly, this could be happening in the Party, possibly because he has no godfather as Enemona Anyebe and his cohorts have continuously boosted that, using the Nigeria factor, they will suppress the court orders and judgment against Enemona Anyebe that barred him from contesting and the contempt judgment delivered against him.
He concluded by saying what the PDP Kogi State is upholding is Illegality, described the action of the Party as unfortunate. He said no one is above the law, called for the Judiciary, the PDP to come to his aid, pointing out that enough of injustice.
Hon. Muhammed said his calls is predicated on fairness, equity and justice, called on well meaning Nigerian’s to come and save the constitution of the Federal Government, pointing out that the oppression.
