
Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Meets With Kogi State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission

In a bid to strengthen collaboration and enhance development in the state’s oil-producing areas, the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources recently hosted the Kogi State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (KOSOPADEC).

During the meeting, the Managing Director of the commission, Mr. Omonu Jackson James, reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to translating words into tangible actions.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unwavering support and encouragement towards developing the oil-producing areas.

Mr. James also commended former Governor Yahaya Bello for his passion for Kogi State’s development, particularly in laying a solid foundation in the solid minerals and natural resources sector.

In his response, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu, represented by Permanent Secretary Alhaji Abdulsalam Hudu, assured that the Ministry is fully committed to harnessing the state’s natural resources.

Engr. Gegu’s representation emphasized the ministry’s ambition to work closely with the commission to drive development in the oil-producing areas.
The meeting was attended by director’s of all departments in the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, underscoring the commitment to collaborative development and progress in Kogi State.
