
Voters registration: Commerce Comm., Bassa Chairman others mobilizes electorate,
reinstate commitment to Gov Ododo

It was a strategic mobilization as the entire Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s political appointees in Bassa gathered at the Council Secretariat at Oguma and mobilized the electorates in the ongoing Continued Voters registration (CVR) exercise in the area.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon Muktar Shaibu who welcomed all the political appointees said the continued voters registration was very strategic and called on the political appointees to mobilize the people from polling unit to polling unit.
Hon Muktar said in the next election Bassa Local Government Area will deliver APC in all the elections and urged the political appointees to embark on massive mobilization of the people for the Continued Voters registration exercise.
On his part, Bassa Council Chairman Hon Theophilus Adama said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has continued to deliver on his mandate and urged the political appointees in the area to continue to mobilize the people at both the polling unit and wards on the continued voters exercise.
Hon. Adama also called on the political appointees to sustain the already existing unity among them noting that APC is the only party known in Bassa and the party must deliver at all times.
The House of Assembly member representing Bassa constituency, Hon Sunday Daku noted that the Continued Voters registration exercise is very crucial as it is the first primary duty of the electorates to secure their franchise. He declared that it is a must for every political appointees that the people at the polling units and wards are mobilized for the exercise
In his remark the Senior Special Assistant on information and communication strategy, Hon Chris Ben-Kato assured that he will continue to use his office in media publicity for the exercise. He thanked all the political appointees from Bassa for their resilience for their continued support to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
On their parts the Executive Director Oil producing Area, Hon Usman Nda Muhammed and the Secretary Kogi State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), Hon Alhassan Ada Keke all thanked the political appointees for their unity of purpose in attending the meeting. They averred that Bassa Local Government will always deliver APC in every election.
The Senior Special Assistant on Energy, Hon Isiaka Ibrahim Saliu said the meeting was very timely. He called on all the political appointees to always synergize with one another to ensure maximum result in the ongoing Continued Voters registration exercise in Bassa.
In a bid to achieve maximum mobilization for the CVR, a nine member committee was set up. The committee members include:
