A Look at Engr. Bashiru’s significant impact in community development, commendable, positive example.

Engr. Bashiru Abubakar Gegu, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, has made a significant impact in his community, particularly in Kogi Local Government Area (LGA).
His commitment to serving the people and developing the state has earned him recognition and admiration.
A man who is sold out to Community Development Initiatives. His recent donation of N15m to the Ekuzi House Project is one among many that Engr. Gegu has made as donations to rural communities.
His N15 million donation to the Ekuzi Progressive Association’s Unity House permanent site project, located in Agbudu community, Kogi LGA is an example of what Engr. Bashiru has always done in terms of Community development.
He also mobilized additional funds from other stakeholders, including Senator Sunday Karimi and Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, who contributed N5 million and N2 million, respectively.
His empowerment Grants remains outstanding. He has provided empowerment grants to women, students, and other community members, demonstrating his commitment to empowering the people of Kogi LGA.
Under Infrastructure Development, Engr. Gegu has supported the construction of toilets, street lights, and mosques in various communities, improving the quality of life for residents.
His unprecedented achievements in Leadership and Recognition are too numerous to mention, but includes;
Chieftaincy Title: The Ekuzi community conferred on him the Chieftaincy title of Madaki Kaura Ekuzi, recognizing his generosity and contributions to the community.
Commissioner of the Year: Engr. Gegu has been named “Commissioner of the Year” for his outstanding service and commitment to development in Kogi State.
Youth-Friendly and Grassroots Humanitarian by A group, Kogi Joint Youth for Positive Change, awarded him for his youth-friendly and grassroots humanitarian services.
For his Impact on Kogi LGA which remains unusual has seen Engr Bashiru;
Promoting Development: Engr. Gegu’s efforts have contributed to the development of Kogi LGA, with many communities benefiting from his initiatives. He was able to achieve this by;
Building Trust: His commitment to serving the people has built trust and confidence in the government, encouraging more people to support the administration.
In inspiring Others, Engr. Gegu’s leadership style and compassion have inspired others to follow in his footsteps, promoting a culture of service and development in Kogi State.
For now, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has remained a beacon of hope and a rallying point for the All Progressives Congress in Kogi LGA, by extension Kogi State, making him the most visible and accessible Commissioner, touching lives positively like no other.
A die hard follower of former Gov Yahaya Bello and staunch loyalist of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, you cannot but love Engr. Bashiru Gegu for his style of politics that is people centered.
