The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the Kogi local area of the State have urged the electorate to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

Their goal is to ensure that all eligible voters who have attained the age of 18 are captured on the voters’ register in preparation for future elections.

Following a closed-door meeting held at the Executive Chairman’s office in Koton-Karfe on Saturday, the APC stakeholders issued a communique that reaffirmed their unwavering support, solidarity, and loyalty to the leadership of Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The communique also included a special prayer for the peaceful repose of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni, the late father of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Key points from the communique include: Sensitisation efforts for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise across all 11 electoral wards of Kogi Local Government, targeting youths who have attained the voting age of 18.

A commitment to working with genuine APC members while involving them fully in party affairs.

Appreciation extended to Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu for his tireless and inclusive leadership in maintaining the party’s strength.

The stakeholders pledged to mobilise people from their various polling units as part of efforts to meet the target.

During the meeting, a committee tasked with working closely with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise, headed by Mr. Abu Sule presented their report to the stakeholders.

The committee’s area of focus includes coordination, supervision, and ensuring compliance with registration guidelines and processes.
