74th birthday: Sen. Ogbeha donates cash, food stuffs worth millions of naira to orphanage in Kogi


 

As part of activities to mark his 74th birthday, a former Senator Kogi West, Senator, Sen. Tunde Ogbeha has donated foodstuffs worth millions of naira to Ministry of Mercy Orphanage home, Lokoja Kogi State.

Senator Ogbeha who is known for his humanitarian gesture over the years thanked God for celebrating another fruitful year in his life.

Sen. Ogbeha’s visit to Mom orphanage home which has been a regular routine for one of the most outstanding and celebrated Senator from Kogi West Senatorial District according to beneficiaries will go a long way at satisfying the needs of the children in the orphanage.

Overwhelmed by the kind gesture of the former Senator, the children including the management and staff of the orphanage sang songs of praises to God Almighty for the life of Senator Ogbeha who according to them has lived his life serving humanity.

Senator Tunde Ogbeha who was represented by his wife Mrs Esther Ogeha said she has always put the orphanage in prayers just as she lauded the management for taking good care of the children.

Mrs Ogbeha intimated the Management that her husband Sen. Ogbeha will be celebrating his 74th birthday on the 1st September, choose to extend a hand of fellowship to the home.

Mrs. Ogbeha equally revealed that as part of efforts aimed at reducing the burden of the management in the upkeep of the children, some of the children he disclosed will be offered scholarship in a bid to secure their future through qualitative education.

She Called on well meaning Nigerians to help the less privilege in the country to live comfortable life as well as to attain their God given potentials.

Responding, the proprietor of Mom orphanage, Mr Samson Aliu Destiny thanked Senator Ogbeha for always providing for the less privileged despite the current economic hardship.

While explaining that most of the children lost their Mother’s during delivery, others he added where abandoned babies, prayed that God should reward Senator Ogbeha abundantly.

He stated further that the children in the orphanage home where drawn from more than eight states across the federation said gestures from well meaning individuals has kept the home running.

Items donated includes bags of rice, cartons of noodles, cartons of spaghetti, bags of semovita, cartons of vegetable oils, gallons of red oils, tubers of yam, Garri, detergents, bathing soaps, milk, baby food, Sweet, biscuits, chess balls, pampers and washing soap,

The highpoint of the event include cash donation, song ministrations, cutting of the 74th birthday cake of the former Senator, amongst others.
