70-year-old man killed by Thunderstrike

A thunderstrike has killed a 70-year-old man identified as Malam Abu Yusuf in Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The incident happened at about 5:40 pm on Thursday as a result of a heavy downpour in the community.
The Nigerian Post gathered that the sad incident has thrown many residents of the community in shock and mourning.
An indigene of Abocho, identified as Dansoho Sulaiman, told The Nigerian Post that Yusuf was hale and healthy before his demise.
Narrating what happened, Sulaiman said: “a close friend to the family confirmed the death. There was a heavy. Rainfall followed by Thunderstrike. It was after one of the thunderstorms that his family members noticed that he fell down”.
“All effort to revive him proved abortive”, throwing his family into confusion and wailing.
