2023 election: Ogori-Magongo youths drum support for Osiako candidature


 

Youths of Ogori/Magongo constituency have drummed their support for the candidature of Comr. Osiako Ezekiel Sunday, to represent the Local Government at Kogi House of Assembly come 2023.

 

A youth leader in the community, Atere Babatunde Samuel made the call while addressing journalists at his residence in Ogori recently, adding that it’s “Youth 0′ Clock” and the need to enhance maximum representation of both communities at the House of Assembly.

He said: “There is a need for the sustenance of the current spate of development currently being witnessed under the pragmatic and result-oriented leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.

“Since the emergence of the current administration of GYB in 2016, you will agree with me that there has been a redefinition in the delivery of the dividends of democracy as well as sanity in governance, and this would not have been possible for the governor without the active participation of the state legislature.

“We the Ogori/Magongo APC youth group, a group committed to promoting and upholding good governance through representative democracy, have deemed it needful, expedient and timely to support one of our finest young men, Comr. Osiako Ezekiel, to clinch the ticket, to represent the good people of Ogori/Magingo Constituency in the 2023 general elections.”

“Governor Bello has shown that youth are ready and capable if given the opportunity to rule, hence the candidacy of Osiako is valid haven serve at various political capacity and currently the deputy chairman of Kogi National Youth Council of Nigeria”. He said

He further added that youths across Ogori/Magongo LG and in Diaspora are throwing their support for Osiako and are sure that he will deliver on his mandate and consolidate on GYB achievement in the state.

Earlier in his remark, Comr. Osiako Ezekiel Sunday noted that in his little capacity, he has been able to impact the lives of youths and the needy in the community, hence the need for a higher platform to do more and better a lot of his people.

He further promised to make laws that would prioritize youth, and women empowerment cardinal, as well as attract the needed infrastructure.
