The Hon. Sunday Karimi Campaign Organisation for Kogi West Senate has described the election that produced Hon. Sunday Karimi as the most freest and credible primaries that has ever been conducted in the district.
The Campaign Organisation in a statement while reacting to Senator Smart’s allegation of Day Light Robbery at the Primary, described his unfounded allegation as the last kick of a dieing horse having lost woefully.
In a statement signed by Hon. Olumorin Teddy, described the 22 of May 2022 Kogi West Senatorial District Primaries as one that met the highest standard for the conduct of Party Primaries as stipulated by the Party and electoral act as amended.
The Campaign Organisation described the process that produced Hon. Sunday Karimi as those contained in the electoral act, pointing out that the laws were followed strictly, said the primary was free fair, credible, having met all the required standards.
The Campaign Organisation says it wished to place on record that the list of delegates as approved by the National Secretariat of APC, submitted and approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission was the list that was used for the elections, pointing out that the people of Kogi West having rejected the serving Senator voted against him overwhelmingly.
The Campaign Organisation says it is unfortunate that as expected, several weeks after his defeat, the Senator is yet to come to terms with the reality that he has lost political value as the people sincerely want a change.
While pointing out that the APC Primary’s was observed by INEC, O itbservers, and accredited security agencies made up of the Police, the DSS, other Security agencies, described the allegations by the embattled Senator as neither here nor there urged him to accept defeat in good faith.
The Campaign Organisation used the opportunity to thank the Kogi West delegates for their peaceful conduct which made the APC Primary’s to be adjudged as the most freest and credible primaries ever conducted in the State.
The Campaign Organisation assured that the Hon. Sunday Karimi aspiration is borne out of the need for quality representation, assured that the people’s welfare, empowerment and attracting the desired infrastructure through legislative engagement, remains his priority if elected.
