The Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress, has congràtulated workers and Kogites for witnessing yet another new year.
The Kogi State NLC in a statement, praised workers for their resillient in the outgone year, renewed the commitment of the NLC to make the welfare of workers a priority in 2022.
The NLC in a new year message signed by Comr Onuh Edoka, urged governments at all levels and citizens alike to brace up to the challenges of nationhood and work harmoniously to make 2022 a year of fulfillment for workers and Nigerians in general.
Comr. Edoka expressed optimism that 2022 would be fulfilling if governments at all levels make the people the centre point of its policies and programmes despite the challenges faced in 2021, acknowledged the resilience and perseverance of citizens in the midst of socio-economic and political difficulties in 2021, urged them to reignite their undying spirit and enter 2022 with vigor and hope.
Comr. Edoka expressed his appreciation to Gov. Yahaya Bello for making the payment of salaries, workers Welfare, Security of lives and properties a priority in the State, congràtulated the State Governor and the people for witnessing yet another new year.
While noting that the NLC looks forward to a more robust relationship with the government in negotiations that would lead to improvement in the conditions of service, wished the Government, People, Particularly Kogi State workers a prosperous 2022 in good health and prosperity.
