The Idah Federal Constituency soul candidate for the State Chairmanship position of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Job Amana Daniel (JAD) has assured his supporters and delegates ahead of today’s scheduled Council election in the state of his readiness to win the contest for genuine lovers of the Council. This reassuring position is coming on the heels of rumors making the rounds that, the SA Youth and Students Affairs conveyed a meeting of some persons yesterday, where he was said to have told those present that the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has endorsed a certain Dekina aspirant for the Chairmanship position.
An inside source who claimed anonymity, said, the rumored directive from the Hon. SA is a self made one as even the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports under whose Ministry the Council is domiciled has debunked the news of any purported endorsement. The Hon. Commissioner was said to have yelled on the SA for taking a stand strange to Government, saying, the youthful and Useful Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is only committed to allowing level playing ground for all candidates to contest the election free and square. The commissioner, our source confirmed, frowned at the antics of the SA to hoodwink delegates in favor of a certain candidate thereby bringing the image of government to disrepute. He therefore, asked qualified delegates to come out to cast their votes for candidates of their choice.
The Council election is scheduled to hold today in the Old Lokoja township stadium.
