HON. BILKISU ALIYU EXTOLS GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO AS SHE RECEIVES SIEC NOMINATION FORM AS OFFICIAL OKENE LOCAL GOVERNMENT APC VICE CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE

Hon. Bilkisu Aliyu was accompanied by her running mate, the Okene Local Government All Progressive Congress Chairmanship candidate in person of Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad and the rest of their followers and well wishers to the state APC Secretariat in Lokoja to obtain her nomination form ahead of the Kogi State council elections slated for Saturday 12th of December, 2020. The ALl Progressive Congress State Party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello (Abdul Dollar) handed the nomination form to Hon. Bilkisu Aliyu haven ascertained her credentials to be authentic and up to date.

Hon. Bilkisu Aliyu, expressed her heart felt gratitude to Almighty Allah and to our number one party leader, His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for counting her worthy to be considered as running mate to Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad. She further commended the Governor for taking an unprecedented political decision of including this large number of women in the forthcoming council election.

She promised to make good use of the opportunity in impacting on the lives of the women of Okene Local Government, in her words she Stated.

“the Governor have done his part as a patriotic leader, brother and son. It is our turn to make him proud, I promise to serve my people to the best of my capacity.

IPMAN Monitoring Team Intercepts Two Trucks Illegally Loaded With Crude Oil in Kogi

The newly inaugurated Independent Petroleum marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Monitoring Team on pipeline vandalism, product adulteration and unwholesome activities in the oil and gas sector has intercepted two truck loads of suspected crude oil illegally liftered in Lokoja.

The Kogi State command of the taskforce intercepted the two truck loads, with each carrying 46,000 and 45,000 litres of crude oil respectively, suspected to have been loaded in portharcourt and was heading to Kano State.

Speaking with Newsmen at Banda, near Lokoja, Garba Ali, Head of Operations of IPMAN taskforce product adulteration and unwholesome activities in the oil and gas sector in the State made the disclosure before handing over the trucks and the suspected drivers to the Nigerian Navy, NNS Lugard Command in Banda.

The two trucks, Mark made, with registration number BLF 653 XA, with green head and red tank, and Awka 425 XB, with bluehead and white tank, had Moses Olise and Martin Okpala as drivers, have been handed over to men of the NNS Lugard.

The Head Operations, said the fight against unwholesome activities in the oil and gas sector is one that must be fought with seriousness, insisting that the negative effect on the economy cannot be quantified.

Recall that the National President of IPMAN, Elder Chinedu Okorokwo was in Kogi State few weeks ago to kick off the State command of the surveillance and monitoring team.

The President during the inauguration was represented by his NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, Alh Haliru Ibrahim.

The IPMAN taskforce during the inauguration had visited the commands of the NAVY and the Army to seek for collaboration with their team in the State.

The State coordinator of the IPMAN taskforce is Usman Abu, had promised to do all they can to put an end to product adulteration and pipeline vandalism in Kogi State.

PASTOR AMEADAJI ENCOURAGES CHRISTIAN COUPLES TO STAY TOGETHER.

An Area Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lokoja, Pastor Immanuel Ameadaji has urged Christians to strive in keeping their homes together and enabling their marriages function according to divine instructions.

He gave the admonition in a sunday sermon tagged ” Raising Godly Seed from Godly Family”, at the Salvation Parish of RCCG in Lokoja.

Pastor Ameadaji, who was also a former Director of Administration and Finance of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation identified failure of marriages as one of the major causes of societal ills of the present age and urged Christians to be committed to their homes to raise godly seeds who would constitute a better society.

He said couples should never consider divorce as an option in resolving their differences, stressing that God hates divorce Christians must obey His instructions.

Pastor Ameadaji who described marriage as a complex system where every part must function appropriately for the success of the whole, admonished Christian couples to dwell in love, submitting one to another and having passion for one another according to God’s injuctions.

He said they should operate within the biblical spelt out family roles to make their marriages work and beneficial to all members of their families and the larger society.

Speaking, the Pastor in charge of Salvation Area in Lokoja, Pastor Joachim Olorunfemi advised singles in the church to seek the face of God and His approval before going into marriage.

He admonished Christians to always seek counsel from spiritual leaders when necessary to avoid grievous mistakes, and above all, to allow the Holy Spirit take control of their lives and homes.
