A Kogi philanthropist and community leader, Elder Benjamin Olowodola has described the death of former Assistant Comptroller General of Customs rtd, Sir Jimmy Olumudi as a sad loss to the various strata of the society he fitted in during his sojourn on this mother earth, a great loss to Owe Community and indeed a personal loss to him. Elder Olowodola says the news came as an unbelievable rumour that has become an unforgettable reality.

Mr Olowodola says the goodwill, godly life, fulfilling journey and services to God and humanity remains the indelible footprints the late Olumudi left behind.

He says the testimony of the old and the young that have continued to pour in on his demise are indeed edifying and worthy of emulation.

*I have known Jimmy Olumudi for several decades as a brother and kinsman who is upright, forthright, benevolent and outstanding, he carried himself with great degree of integrity, candour and humility. His contribution to the development and progress of Oweland, Okun, Kogi West, Kogi State and Nigeria remains indelible. In the course of working together for the progress of our land and prosperity of our people, communally and politically, he was never found wanting, lacking or with any iota of misdemeanour. Jimmy Olumudi was a family man, fine gentleman and highly civilised Nigerian, he will be greatly missed for his great feats but we take solace in the Lord and pray that his beautiful soul rest in peace* Olowodola says

The Elder statesman however enjoined the youth to emulate these enviable attributes of late Sir Jimmy Olumudi.

Sir Jimmy Olumudi was born seventy two years ago, he attended Ahmadu Bello University and worked with the Nigeria Customs Service. May his soul rest in peace
