The Abubakar Ibrahim camapign organsition for the last Kogi Governorship election has described as face saving, after thought, belated and decietful the claims by PDP Governorship candidate,Engineer Musa Wada of innocence and non meddlesomeness that led to his principal expulsion from the party.
Reacting to a statement credited to the media aide to Wada/Aro campaign council issued and signed by Comrade Usman Okai Austin, the media consultant to the council, Abubakar Yusuf disagree in strongest terms with the position impressed on the media, in view of series of subtle threats and manipulations of some compromised party officials, that influenced and informed the purpoted inactions.
Yusuf says even though amidst the bogus allegations of anti party activities, bandied against Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, the crux of the matter was his efforts to reclaim his mandate freely given to him by the party’s delegates on September 3, through the courts ,but denied by the current flagbearer,Engineer Musa Wada.
According to Abubakar Yusuf, the PDP Governorship aspirant is known to be a highly committed, loyal and liberal member of the party before the primaries, but suddenly labelled with innocuos names,so as to drive home their unpopular decisions, subtly engineered by Wada/Aro campaign council.
The media consultant says the basis of his anti party activities, that attracted his expulsion by the disciplinary committee, that never made efforts to entertain both sides of the divides, was the blanket decisions to clamp down on the envisage PDP candidate, in the last Kogi Governorship election.
He said before the erratic and unpopular decision was taken by some sections of the party executives loyal to Engineer Musa Wada, there was series of threats from some members of PDP loyal to the PDP candidate, with the impression that, the ongoing pre-election matter is a huge distraction to the party’s candidate, Engineer Musa Wada.
The media aide says the decision of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim not to renege or succumb to the pressure, blackmail, castigation, name calling, campaign of calumny and open confrontation occassioned the decision by some sections of party executives to coerce, cajole and stampede ward leadership of the party into fallen in line with the unpopular decision .
However, the decisions of the party, has little or no effect with the ongoing efforts to restore the stolen mandate currently at the Apex Court, saying the efforts in futility was presumptuous, needless and ultravires, against the lay down party rules.
Yusuf wondered why it is now that the Wada/Aro campaign council choose to dignify the former governor,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, having realised that efforts to bring his hard earned image into disrepute, has hit the rock on so many occasions.
He says the Abubakar Ibrahim campaign organisation will not shiver nor slumber in his determination to reclaim it’s mandate through the apex court in few weeks.
