Covid 19: Indeed Wisdom Has Departed From Our Leaders – Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael.

A human rights Activists, and Executive Director, Justice Helpline Foundation, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael has described the suggestion by the National Assembly that all federal government schools in Abuja be used as isolation centre as embarrassing and most unfortunate.

Speaking to newsmen in Lokoja, Barr. Dare said indeed wisdom has departed from our leaders, wondered why the House of Representatives would today suggest the use of government schools for isolation centre.

According to the lawyer, the suggestion by the national Assembly shows leadership failure, disclosed as unfortunate that since 1999, the national Assembly has failed in its responsibility to make laws and provision for better health facilities in the state.

The Activists described as shameful for the nation’s highest lawmaking body who ought to be the Vanguard of the people to suggest the use of schools of future leaders to be turned into isolation centres.

He said that the consequences of such action if allowed would no doubt affect the health of the children on resumption, urged the national Assembly to apologise to nigerians and rescind in its decision.
