2027: 12 Youth Groups Form Coalition For Lawal Idrisu’s Return To House of Representatives

… Says Ajaokuta Needs Him More Than He Needs Them
No fewer than twelve youth groups in Ajaokuta Federal Constituency have formed a formidable coalition to ensure the emergence and victory of Rt. Hon. Lawal Mohammed Idrisu for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election.
The coalition was formed on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at a strategic meeting held at the Lugard Beach Hotel, Lokoja, where leaders of the various youth organizations resolved to merge into one formidable team under the auspices of “Hon. Lawal Again 2027.”
The meeting, which drew youth leaders from across Ajaokuta Local Government Area, was convened to harmonize interests and chart a common front for the actualization of the Lawal project.
Speaking at the event, the Convener, Hon. Idris Shittu Haruna, described the anticipated return of Rt. Hon. Lawal Idrisu to the political arena as a blessing to the good people of Ajaokuta.
According to him, Ajaokuta is in dire need of a developer with proven capacity in both human capital and structural development who can rewrite the story of the constituency and deliver the change the people have been yearning for.
“The coming of Rt. Hon. Lawal Mohammed Idrisu is a blessing. We need him more than he needs us this time around because what Ajaokuta needs now is a leader who can match words with action and bring real development to our people,” Haruna stated.
In his remarks, the President of Progressive Young Minds, Comrade Salisu Ibrahim, said the previous records of Rt. Hon. Lawal Idrisu in public service and private enterprise remain unbeaten by any candidate in Ajaokuta.
He noted that long before venturing into politics, Hon. Lawal had contributed immensely to the lives of the people of Ajaokuta and beyond, and remains one of the highest employers of labour in the private sector.
“His philanthropy, his job creation efforts and his legislative experience when he was in the House speak for themselves. No one comes close to him in terms of impact,” Comrade Ibrahim added.
Other group leaders who spoke at the meeting unanimously endorsed the coalition, pledging to mobilize massively across wards and polling units to ensure the return of Rt. Hon. Lawal Idrisu to the green chamber of the National Assembly.
After listening to various youth groups, comprising young men and women, the meeting observed a strong yearning and collective resolve to work together as one family to deliver the mandate.
The group heads further resolved to convene another round of meeting next week with the remaining youth groups for proper harmonization and expansion of the coalition.
The meeting ended on a high note with a renewed commitment to the Lawal Again 2027 project.
