The Kwara state government has announced the ban on commercial transportation and closure of all worship centers including markets across the state from 6am tomorrow (Thursday). This is part of efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus disease.
The state Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi gave the directive today while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital.
Mr Alabi said there should be no movement of commercial vehicles, socio gathering and all motor parks in the state should remain closed.
The Deputy Governor said fast foods joints are allowed to operate but it will be take-away and urged Kwarans to adhere to the directive of state government to curb the spread of corona-virus in the state.
Mr Alabi said security agents will be on ground to ensure full compliance of the directive.
